Do you have a place that you like to go when you want to feel safe? Whether you realize it or not, the answer is probably yes. When it comes to babies, their play areas are often cut-off by gates and other barriers for safety reasons. That being the case, their ‘safe areas’ are limited. My wife made a brilliant move and bought our son a tiny, indoor blowup tent for babies. There are also fifty balls that go inside the tent.
It wasn’t a holiday. She bought it on a whim, knowing it could potentially work out well. She was right. When our son is upset about something, or simply feels like watching television with an extra roof over his head, he heads for his tent. The amazing thing about this tent is that no matter what type of mood he’s in prior to entering, he will be smiling once he’s inside. It’s like there’s an invisible happiness force field at its entrance. Regardless of what the cause is, seeing our son smile is something that lifts our spirits and makes our days ten times brighter. To see our son smiling was the best of all baby gifts i get over the years.
